KAITLYN & RYAN

04.04.2025

Once again, we’re swooning over an April 2025 celebration at Standing Rock Farms in Madison, Ohio — and trust us, this one deserves the spotlight From the fresh spring air to the dreamy farm views, every detail came together so beautifully. We’ll never get over how magical this day felt!

How did you and your spouse meet?

Ryan and I met during our college years at the University of Akron, where we were both majoring in marketing and sales management. We crossed paths in class more than once, but it wasn’t until a message on Instagram that our story officially started.

What vision did you have for your wedding? (Theme, colors, feel)

My dream wedding vision was a classic black-and-white celebration with a very elegant, timeless feel. I loved the idea of having our guests dressed in all black so the bride could truly stand out and the photos would feel chic and cohesive. I kept the florals simple and romantic with white roses and baby’s breath, paired with floating candles and candlesticks to create a warm, glowing atmosphere.

I really wanted everything to feel classic rather than trendy—something beautiful that would still feel special years from now..

What was your favorite moment from your wedding day?

It’s hard to choose just one favorite moment from our wedding day, but two moments stand out the most: our public vows and our sunset photos. Even though we did a first look, I was incredibly nervous for our ceremony because I knew how emotional I would be. I don’t think I ever made it through writing or practicing my vows without crying, and the ceremony ended up being one of the most emotional moments of my life. It’s something I’ll cherish forever, and hearing from our friends and family that they could truly feel the love between us made it even more meaningful.

Another favorite moment was slipping away for sunset photos. It was such a special pause in the day—just the two of us—where I could finally take a deep breath and soak in everything that had happened. That time was even more meaningful because we took our baby announcement photos then. At five months pregnant, it felt incredibly special to celebrate not only the beginning of our life together as husband and wife, but also the new life we were growing and the family we were so excited to build.

Why did you choose Lauren & Co Events?

We first met Lauren during our venue tour at Standing Rock Farms and instantly clicked. She matched our personalities perfectly and was the first person we truly opened up to about our wedding vision. Instead of questioning our ideas, she was immediately excited and ready to start planning.

By the end of our wedding planning journey, Lauren was so much more than a vendor—she became a friend we genuinely connected with and cared about. She supported us in countless ways, from helping us find vendors and answering my endless questions to, most importantly, helping us move our wedding up by seven months after we found out I was pregnant. As the day got closer, we all joked (and secretly dreaded) that once the wedding was over, our planning meetings would come to an end. That alone speaks volumes about the relationship we built. She and her team were absolutely wonderful—it was never a question of if they could make it happen, only when

The Vendors That Made This Day Happen

Trevi Catering

Had an incredible variety of options, and we loved everything they had to offer. Even now, our guests still tell us how much they enjoyed the food at our wedding. One of my favorite parts of our package was the appetizers served during cocktail hour—they were a huge hit. The food was amazing, and the entire team was absolutely fabulous! Trevi also did our bar service. The drinks and staff were amazing! The team was incredibly quick and friendly, and our guests never had to wait for a drink. The bride and groom drinks were especially great and such a fun touch!

Kitty’s Cups ’n Cakes

Owned by my friend Katie, who created a stunning white three-tier wedding cake that perfectly matched our vision and tasted amazing. For our guests, we also served sheet cakes from Sam’s Club, which were a huge hit and left us with zero leftovers!

Ohio Bridal Outlet

This Columbus-based shop was absolutely fantastic. Every dress in the store was priced under $1,000 (before taxes and fees), which was incredible. Their team was so friendly and accommodating, and they offered a great variety of sizes and styles—including larger designer gowns available in-store at amazing prices.

Azazie

I had my bridesmaids order their dresses from Azazie and let them choose any style they liked, as long as it was black. Everyone was able to find a style they loved, and it was so convenient that they could enter their own personal measurements instead of relying on standard sizing—this made alterations minimal and helped keep costs down..

Selective Sound Events

Their team was fantastic! We had several meetings with the owner, Jay, and their staff to make sure we really connected with the DJ assigned to our wedding day. They were professional, easy to work with, and made the whole process seamless.

Florals

I created artificial arrangements for our wedding bouquets and boutonnieres. For the table centerpieces, I ordered baby’s breath in bulk from Sam’s Club—it was both beautiful and budget-friendly!

Hair & Makeup

My friend Carli, who has years of experience in cosmetology, did the hair and makeup for me, my bridesmaids, and our moms on our wedding day. She did an amazing job and was very budget-friendly!

Tina and her team were wonderful! Even though Tina couldn’t make our new wedding date, she spoke very highly of her team—and they did not disappoint. We had two photographers who did an amazing job capturing all the big moments, while also beautifully capturing the love and joy of our guests.
